Registration

Our camp experience is unique in that we only register 30 players per gender for each program.  This allows for a fantastic player-to-coach ratio where every player receives personal attention from every staff member (we truly get to know every player).

PROGRAM DESIGN.  For Field Players and Goalkeepers.  Our 2014 camps will mirror the US Soccer U14 National Team Camp itinerary and methodology.  Our comprehensive four days of fun, educational and competitive training/game environments will also include technical testing, physical testing, psychological testing and personal/match analysis.  The goal is to provide each and every player with an honest, realistic foundation of where they are now and help them build a plan to succeed tomorrow.

COACHING STAFF.  Brian Kuk, US Soccer National ‘A’ License, US Soccer Coaching Education and US Soccer Market Training Staff will direct each camp.   The STA Coaching Staff will include Shay Bell (US Soccer National ‘A’ License), Carl Gray (US Soccer National ‘A’ License), Matt Lawrey (US Soccer National ‘A’ License), Emily Perrin (US Soccer National ‘C’ License & Former UVA Women’s Player), Sarah Curtis (US Soccer National ‘C’ License & Former Richmond Destiny Professional) and Eduardo de Souza (Men’s Associate Head Coach, Longwood University).  Current and former NCAA Division I players will round out the coaching staff to complete the great staff ready to help you excel!  We will also have special guest coaches and instructors who bring International, National and Collegiate coaching experiences to our campers.

PLAYER INFO.  This program is for the ‘serious soccer player’.  We define the ‘serious soccer player’ as someone who is committed to working hard every session, is coachable/wants to learn, respectful of competition/coaches/campers and has the dream of playing at the next level.  For players who are currently playing travel level soccer and aspire for more.  The emphasis of this program is an elevation of intensity and competitiveness. Instructors will positively push players to understand the nuances of technique, advanced tactical concepts, the importance of physical fitness relative to the sport and the psychological areas to focus on to improve, succeed and gain confidence.  Campers will be part of technical testing and technical-tactical-functional-skills-circuit training in the morning, followed by swimming, lunch, afternoon psychological testing, world-cup 3v3 or 4v4 tournament (actual games), dinner and evening 11v11 match play.  Instructors will guide, advise and challenge players to maximize peak-performance each and every training session and match.

  • Cost per Residential player is $TBA; Residential.
  • Residential option strongly recommended; inquire about commuter status.
  • Team Discounts available for 8+ players; inquire via brian.kuk@stasoccer.com. Teams that bring less than 11 players will be matched will other similarly registered teams for matchplay; we will not split teams up, even if it means a larger number of players on a team for an evening match.

GOAL Our goal is to provide fun and educational activities that motivate young players to develop individual skills and introduce small group/team concepts.

We will focus on technical foundation and skill development of: dribbling, passing, 1st touch/receiving, shooting and goalkeeping. Each player will have the opportunity to experience it all!
